All of it is read as you. The extension uses the sign-ins your Chrome
already has. It never asks for a school password, never signs in on your
behalf, and never sends any of it to us — everything it reads is stored on
your own computer. See the privacy policy.
Where your work comes from
Canvas — your courses, assignments, due dates, pages, linked files
and grades. Works with any school's Canvas, whatever their web address is.
It is also the one site the extension can write to: if you switch
handing work in on, it can upload a file to an assignment for you — off by
default, and it asks every single time.
Veracross — your daily class schedule and your grade pages, from
your school's own portal.
Google Docs and Drive — only the documents your teachers have
already shared with you, such as syllabi and weekly homework plans, plus
the PDFs those documents link to. Work assigned in a doc shows up next to
work assigned in Canvas instead of getting missed.
AP Classroom — your assignment list and progress-check due dates,
read while you have that site open. The questions inside a progress check
are never read, by the extension or by the AI.
Albert.io — the practice sets your class has been assigned, their
due dates and whether you have finished them. Question content is never
read.
AP Central — the public Course and Exam Description for an AP
subject, downloaded once and kept, so a study guide can follow the real
unit framework.
Google Classroom — visible coursework on explicitly linked Classwork pages, imported as assignments with original links. Open other classes and expand coursework to read more. This does not read grades or claim every assignment has been scanned. No ChatGPT account or Google API key is required.
Gmail — not read by SillyBus. Better Gmail is a separate extension.
Your own calendars — any calendar feed address you paste in
yourself.
Calendar and local Mac connections
Use Link this page on Google Calendar or a supported calendar export page to connect events. The extension connects automatically to the installed, running SillyBus Mac app and sends supported linked data locally. Chrome permission approval and site sign-in may be required.
AI features
AI requests use the included hosted service or your own Anthropic key. Relevant assignment or class context may accompany a request; see the privacy policy. School-page imports and calendar transfers do not require ChatGPT.
